Free Social Ride to the City Centre14 Sep 2019
Cycling to work is a great way to build exercise into daily life and de-stress. There’s no better feeling than whizzing past rush hour traffic, knowing that you are not only staying active, but also reducing congestion, and improving the environment.
Do you want to cycle to work but are not sure of the best route? Join us for free, relaxed cycling rides along Norwich’s safe and dedicated Pedalways to try it for yourself.
You can choose to join at the start or the pick up points listed– do register your interest here so we know to expect you. Please ensure you are at your meeting point and ready to ride so we can pick you up on the way.
Each ride will last around an hour, and will be at a gentle, relaxed pace – no one will be left behind.
On Saturday 14th September, we’ll be exploring the Red Pedalway which runs along the Marriot’s Way:
- The ride begins at 09:30 in Drayton where the Marriot’s Way meets Costessey Lane (the Drayton marker on the Norwich Cycle Map).
- The ride will follow the Red Pedalway, arriving at the Marlpit Community Centre in Hellesdon for 10:00 to pick up any riders that wish to start from there.
- We will then continue along the Red Pedalway until we reach Norwich city centre, where we can stop for refreshments before following the same route back to Drayton.
