Big Stroll around Mousehold Heath22 Nov 2019
We’re really excited to announce the details of the first Big Stroll community walk!
The Big Stroll is a new programme by Pushing Ahead and Active Norfolk that brings groups of people together to enjoy a walk, meet new people, and socialise over refreshments at the end.
This free community event will take place on 22 Nov around Mousehold Heath, where you can enjoy a crisp autumnal walk and catch the last of the autumn colours.
Meet at Plumstead Road Library, Norwich, NR1 4JS at 10am.
The walk will be around the outskirts of Mousehold Heath and along pavements so it’s accessible to all walking abilities and wheelchairs. It should take no longer than an hour, depending on numbers. Some members of the Norwich Phab Club are taking part and may take longer to complete it due to their disabilities, and the walk will be at a pace that keeps everyone together.
Be on the lookout for 2 people in high visibility jackets, one at the front and one at the back, so that no gets left behind. At the end, you’ll return to the library for refreshments and chat.
This is a great opportunity to to bring the community together for both able bodied and disabled people who wouldn’t necessarily meet, chat, and walk together.

If you love the idea of a Big Stroll and think your club or organisation might be interested in hosting your own community walk, there is funding, training and communications support available to help you get your own Big Stroll off the ground. Find out more on the Big Stroll pages of this site.
