With great beaches, wide skies and loads of wildlife on its doorstep, Great Yarmouth is a great place to explore on foot.
The Norfolk Coast Path, with thanks to coastal access, now extends through this unique area down to Hopton. Why not try a walk on the coast path?
Great Yarmouth is the start or finishing point of many great walks which can all be enjoyed by walking a little at a time and getting the bus back, such as the Angles Way (to Thetford), the Weavers Way (to Cromer), and the Wherrymans Way (to Norwich). The Norfolk Trails website can advise on how best to do this.
Or why not check out a local walk? The Nelson Ward Walk leaflet has 4 short circular walks that take you through some historic and scenic parts of the town, including: St George’s Park, the quayside, the town wall, and a Victorian Arches and beach walk.
